Managing Member, Commerce Overflow
R.J. Sampson is the founder and managing member of Commerce Overflow, a Vegas-based digital marketing company.
R.J. started Commerce Overflow in July 2020 after the COVID-19 pandemic decimated the travel industry, which cost him his full-time job in June 2020.
For the past 12 years, R.J. worked for Allegiant Travel Company.
He spent those years conceptualizing and implementing Allegiant's leading-edge marketing-technology infrastructure, including building and managing the teams that make it all happen.
That infrastructure included customer relationship management (CRM) platform, email marketing, email integrations with various internal systems, marketing automation, online advertising programs, website personalization, e-commerce websites and payment systems, web and mobile analytics, and conversion optimization platforms.
He negotiated the contracts for essential software solutions from Salesforce.com, Oracle, Cheetah Digital, and various other vendors.
R.J.'s team was not only providing services for Allegiant's airline, but he also architected and implemented solutions for all of Allegiant's various businesses and brands.
Before coming to Vegas in 2007 to work for Allegiant full time, they were a client of his Atlanta based marketing technology company, Predawn Visual Communications, which he'd founded in January 2002.
Predawn began working with Allegiant in 2005 to designed and developed the website and the web infrastructure they would need for their upcoming IPO.
From 2002-2017, Predawn had provided marketing technology solutions for over 60 companies ranging from startups and nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies.
In 2014, R.J. founded VR Kids, Inc., a Vegas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
R.J. and his team designed and developed custom therapeutic virtual reality software and services for hospital-bound and mobility-impaired children, teens, and young adults.
VR Kids serves the community through partnerships with four children's hospitals in the Las Vegas metro area.
